NEWS update
BRINGING HOPE TO A NEW
October 2009

What a lot of visitors! We had a brilliant month with two sets of visitors to play with, and spoil, our kids!

Thank you Christ Church Woodbury team (Anne, David, Linda, Brian, Marion, Joy), and thank you Chris and Hallie from New Life Okehampton. This was a fun and instructive month as our two sets of visitors between them taught first aid, music, woodworking, arts ‘n’ crafts and so much more!

We also had a wonderful afternoon out with all our kids at Mama Afrika Circus, visiting Arusha from Dar es Salaam – thank you Oliver Bourne from New Life for making this possible! The acrobatics was incredible, the drumming and dancing spectacular, and the popcorn, juice, cakes, yoghurt, candy, and biscuits supplied by our friend Kyle and his parents were just what was needed to abate kiddy hunger pains!

We now have an American volunteer, Katie, working with us on her spare days from her regular teaching job at an Arusha secondary school. She loves teaching our nursery class, and the young children (and our staff) are really enjoying her creative ideas for arts ‘n’ crafts!
