Chama House was opened in November 2006.
Rose Tesha has been the house 'mama' since February 2007. Rose is young and energetic – perfect for the young children she lives with.
We have eight children in Chama house, including some of our youngest children, and it is a vibrant, laughter-filled house. There are three sets of siblings in Chama (Mahija and Fatuma, David and Arnold, Careen and Johnson), which emphasises the family feel.
Chama has a large garden with banana, papaya and avocado trees. We keep chickens, have many banana trees and also grow vegetables here.
There is water close by, and we have installed a solar power system for lighting and basic power needs.
Seeway Trust is a registered charity no. 1074868
