A team of people from Christ Church Woodbury came out to visit us last October and decided to embark on a 'year of fundraising' from this September putting on a number of events, involving their local community wherever possible, to help us raise money to help with the building and equipping of SWTz’s exciting new building project.

Here are just some of the things they will be doing:

• Sponsored long distance bike rides with Knobblies bike shop in Exmouth

• 150 mile sponsored walk from Woodbury to Land’s End

• Sponsored parachute jump

• Sale of traditional Tanzanian Christmas ornaments

• Quiz night

• Table top sale

• Entertainments evening

• Easter egg hunt

• 200 mile sponsored cycle from Exmouth to the middle of England

• Weekend charity walk along the Coleridge Way in North Devon

They have set themselves a target of £20,000 and in their words "hope our efforts will inspire others to join in this year and raise another roof on another Tanzanian home for children".
